André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra bring their touring production to Ergo Arena on Wednesday, 12 May 2027, opening a run of Polish and Central European dates that continues to Gliwice and Kraków later in the month. The concert starts at 20:00.
Poland has become a regular and enthusiastic stop on Rieu’s touring calendar, and the Tri-City area of Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia brings a large and engaged audience whenever major touring productions come through. The mix of orchestral grandeur and playful showmanship has built a loyal following across the country.
Expect a programme moving between sweeping Strauss waltzes, operatic highlights, popular film themes and well-loved classics, staged with the elaborate costumes, lighting design and theatrical flourishes that have become the production’s trademark. Guest vocalists and instrumental soloists typically join the orchestra throughout the evening.
Ergo Arena opened in 2010 and sits directly on the border between Gdańsk and Sopot, with a concert capacity of up to 15,000, making it one of the largest and most modern venues on this stretch of the tour.
Doors are expected to open roughly ninety minutes before the 20:00 start. The performance typically runs for about two and a half hours, including a 20-minute interval.
The Tri-City area offers an easy combination of Gdańsk’s historic old town, Sopot’s beach resort atmosphere and Gdynia’s modern waterfront, making a concert weekend here easy to extend into a longer coastal trip.
The Gdańsk date opens a short but packed run through the region, with the tour continuing to Gliwice on 14 May and Kraków on 15 May in the days that follow.
Tickets for Gdańsk are available now, and given how quickly other stops on this tour have moved, early booking is worth considering for anyone hoping to see André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra live on 12 May.
