André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra bring their tour to LDLC Arena near Lyon on Saturday, 20 February 2027, the day after a performance in Paris, with the concert starting at 20:00. It’s one of the newest stops on the touring circuit, in one of France’s most recently built major venues.
Lyon and the surrounding Rhône-Alpes region have shown strong appetite for large-scale touring shows in recent years, and this Décines-Charpieu date gives audiences in the area a chance to see the full production without travelling to Paris. Rieu’s blend of orchestral grandeur and warm showmanship has built a loyal following across France over the years.
Expect a programme built for a big room: sweeping Strauss waltzes alongside operatic highlights, popular film themes and well-loved classics, staged with the elaborate costumes, lighting design and theatrical touches that have become part of the show’s identity. Guest vocalists and instrumentalists typically join the orchestra throughout the evening.
LDLC Arena opened in November 2023 and is the largest arena outside Paris, with a concert capacity of around 16,000. Located next to the Groupama Stadium in the Lyon metropolitan area, it has quickly become the region’s default home for major touring productions.
Doors are expected to open roughly ninety minutes before the 20:00 start. The performance typically runs for about two and a half hours, including a 20-minute interval.
For visitors travelling in, the arena’s location near Lyon makes it easy to combine the concert with a visit to the city itself, known for its historic old town, riverside walks and celebrated food scene.
The Décines-Charpieu date follows directly on from Paris the night before, on 19 February, closing out this stretch of French dates before the tour continues elsewhere in Europe.
Tickets are available now, and given the pace at which other stops on this tour have moved, early booking is worth considering for anyone hoping to see André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra live on 20 February.
