Beginning at 19:30\, this special Saturday-night performance promises a wonderful combination of timeless waltzes\, emotional melodies and spectacular entertainment\, bringing the unmistakable charm of the “King of the Waltz” back to Denmark. \nThe announcement of André Rieu’s return to Copenhagen is wonderful news for Danish music lovers. Following the success of his previous performances in the country\, the Dutch violinist and conductor is returning with a brand-new production that celebrates everything audiences have come to love about his concerts: beautiful music\, extraordinary musicianship\, genuine warmth and moments of pure joy. \nAccompanied by his magnificent 70-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra\, talented soloists and special guests\, Rieu will take audiences on a colourful musical journey. The programme will feature romantic Viennese waltzes\, beloved classical masterpieces\, opera favourites\, memorable film music and popular melodies. From delicate violin solos to powerful orchestral arrangements\, every performance is designed to create an emotional connection between the musicians and their audience. \nThe concert takes place at Royal Arena\, one of Scandinavia’s most impressive modern entertainment venues. Located in Copenhagen’s Ørestad district\, the arena opened in 2017 and can accommodate up to 17\,000 spectators for concerts\, depending on the stage configuration. Designed by the Danish architectural firm 3XN\, its elegant Scandinavian architecture and flexible seating arrangements make it an excellent setting for large-scale international productions. \nFor André Rieu\, the atmosphere inside an arena is just as important as the music itself. His concerts are celebrated for their beautiful costumes\, elaborate stage scenery\, spectacular lighting and warm interaction with the audience. Rather than simply watching a classical performance\, visitors become part of a joyful celebration where familiar melodies invite smiles\, applause and sometimes even dancing. \nThe 12 June 2027 Copenhagen concert concludes a special two-night visit to Denmark. André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra will perform at Jyske Bank Boxen in Herning on Friday\, 11 June\, before travelling to Copenhagen for Saturday’s performance. Together\, these concerts offer Danish audiences two opportunities to experience the maestro’s new international touring production. \nCopenhagen provides a particularly attractive setting for a summer concert weekend. With its picturesque canals\, colourful historic buildings and lively waterfront\, the Danish capital offers visitors plenty to discover before the evening performance. Fans travelling from elsewhere in Denmark or abroad can explore the famous Nyhavn district\, stroll through the historic city centre or enjoy the cafés and restaurants that make Copenhagen one of Europe’s most welcoming destinations. \nWhat makes André Rieu’s concerts so memorable is his remarkable ability to bring people together through music. A quiet romantic melody can create a moment of genuine emotion\, while the opening notes of a familiar Strauss waltz can transform an entire arena into a celebration. His combination of musical excellence\, humour and theatrical imagination has made him one of the world’s most successful touring artists. \nWith more than 40 million albums sold worldwide and annual concert audiences exceeding 700\,000 people\, André Rieu continues to demonstrate the extraordinary appeal of orchestral music presented with passion and personality. His performances attract audiences of every generation\, proving that beautiful melodies and shared emotions transcend language and cultural boundaries. \nTickets for the 12 June 2027 Copenhagen concert go on general sale on Friday\, 23 October 2026\, at 10:00\, through official ticketing partners.
