Beginning at 19:30\, this eagerly anticipated performance will open the UK and Ireland section of Rieu’s 2027 tour\, promising an unforgettable celebration of music\, romance and the timeless melodies that have made him one of the world’s most beloved live performers. \nThe announcement marks another exciting chapter in André Rieu’s relationship with audiences in Belfast. Over the years\, the Dutch maestro has developed a loyal following across Northern Ireland\, where his unique combination of classical elegance\, humour and spectacular entertainment continues to attract music lovers of all generations. His return in September 2027 offers another opportunity to experience the extraordinary atmosphere of a Johann Strauss Orchestra concert. \nAccompanied by his celebrated Johann Strauss Orchestra\, internationally acclaimed soloists and special guests\, André Rieu will take audiences on a musical journey through romantic Viennese waltzes\, beloved classical masterpieces\, opera favourites\, memorable film music and popular melodies. His performances are renowned for their elaborate costumes\, beautiful stage scenery and spectacular lighting\, creating an experience that feels as much like a theatrical celebration as a traditional classical concert. \nThe concert takes place at The O2 Belfast\, formerly known as The SSE Arena\, located at 2 Queens Quay in the city’s vibrant Titanic Quarter. Overlooking Belfast’s historic waterfront\, the arena is one of Northern Ireland’s most important entertainment venues\, regularly welcoming major international artists and productions. Its central location and impressive indoor setting provide an excellent backdrop for the grandeur of André Rieu’s live performances. \nFor many concertgoers\, the appeal of André Rieu goes far beyond his remarkable musical talent. His natural warmth and genuine connection with the audience transform even the largest arena into something surprisingly personal. A delicate violin solo can create a moment of quiet emotion\, while the opening notes of a familiar Strauss waltz can suddenly have thousands of people smiling\, clapping and swaying together. \nThe 9 September 2027 Belfast concert is particularly special as it marks the opening of Rieu’s newly announced UK and Ireland tour dates. Following the Belfast performance\, André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra will travel south for a concert at Dublin’s 3Arena on Friday\, 10 September\, before continuing to major venues across Britain later in the month. \nBelfast itself provides a wonderful setting for a memorable concert visit. Visitors travelling from elsewhere in Northern Ireland\, the Republic of Ireland or further abroad can explore the city’s historic streets\, discover the famous Titanic Belfast attraction or enjoy the restaurants and cafés along the revitalised waterfront before heading to the arena for the evening performance. \nAndré Rieu has spent decades demonstrating that classical music can be both sophisticated and wonderfully accessible. With more than 40 million albums sold worldwide and hundreds of thousands of concertgoers attending his performances every year\, the Dutch violinist has built an extraordinary international following. His concerts celebrate the universal language of music\, bringing together people of different ages and backgrounds through shared moments of happiness and emotion. \nTickets for the 9 September 2027 Belfast concert go on general sale on Friday\, 23 October 2026\, at 12:00 BST\, with an O2 Priority presale beginning on Wednesday\, 21 October.
