London, 17/09/2027
London, prepare for a magnificent evening of music, romance and celebration — on Friday, 17 September 2027, André Rieu and his world-renowned Johann Strauss Orchestra will return to OVO Arena Wembley for a spectacular performance in the British capital. The concert promises an unforgettable journey through beautiful Viennese waltzes, emotional melodies and orchestral masterpieces, bringing the unmistakable charm of the “King of the Waltz” back to one of London’s most celebrated entertainment venues.
The announcement marks another chapter in André Rieu’s long-standing relationship with British audiences. The Dutch violinist and conductor has developed an extraordinary following across the United Kingdom, where his concerts consistently attract music lovers drawn to his unique combination of classical elegance, humour and spectacular live entertainment. His return to Wembley in September 2027 offers another opportunity to experience the joyful atmosphere that has made him one of the world’s most successful touring musicians.
Accompanied by his magnificent 60-member Johann Strauss Orchestra, talented soloists and special guests, André Rieu will present a colourful musical programme featuring romantic waltzes, beloved classical compositions, opera favourites, memorable film music and popular melodies. The performance will also feature the elaborate costumes, impressive stage scenery and spectacular lighting that have become hallmarks of his international productions.
The setting for this special evening is OVO Arena Wembley, one of London’s most historic indoor entertainment venues. Originally opened in 1934 as the Empire Pool, the arena has welcomed generations of internationally acclaimed musicians and performers. Its distinctive architectural heritage and long association with live entertainment make it a particularly fitting destination for an artist who celebrates the timeless appeal of music.
Located in Wembley Park, the arena sits within one of London’s best-known entertainment districts, close to the famous Wembley Stadium. Visitors arriving for the concert will find a lively neighbourhood filled with restaurants, cafés and shopping opportunities, making it easy to enjoy an evening out before the orchestra takes the stage.
For André Rieu, however, the most important part of every performance is the connection between the musicians and their audience. His concerts are famous for turning even the largest arenas into places of warmth and togetherness. A delicate violin melody can create a moment of quiet emotion, while the opening notes of a familiar Strauss waltz can suddenly have thousands of spectators smiling, clapping and swaying together.
The 17 September 2027 London concert forms part of André Rieu’s newly announced UK and Ireland tour. Following performances in Belfast on 9 September and Dublin on 10 September, the orchestra will arrive in London for this Friday evening appearance before continuing to Glasgow on 23 September, Nottingham on 24 September and Birmingham on 25 September.
London itself provides an exceptional setting for visitors travelling from elsewhere in Britain or abroad. Concertgoers can combine the performance with a weekend exploring the capital’s famous landmarks, historic neighbourhoods and cultural attractions. Wembley Park is connected to central London by the Jubilee and Metropolitan Underground lines, making the arena accessible for visitors staying across the city.
André Rieu’s extraordinary international success reflects his ability to make orchestral music feel welcoming and entertaining without sacrificing musical quality. With more than 40 million albums sold worldwide and over 700,000 concertgoers attending his performances annually, the Dutch maestro continues to introduce new generations to the beauty of classical music.
His London performances have become memorable occasions for fans who appreciate the combination of elegant musicianship and theatrical spectacle. From sweeping orchestral passages to intimate violin solos, every concert offers moments of romance, laughter and celebration, creating memories that remain long after the final encore.
