Herning, prepare for an unforgettable summer evening of music, romance and celebration — on Friday, 11 June 2027, André Rieu and his world-renowned Johann Strauss Orchestra will return to Denmark for a spectacular concert at Jyske Bank Boxen. Beginning at 19:30, this highly anticipated performance promises a wonderful journey through timeless waltzes, beautiful melodies and the joyful atmosphere that has made the Dutch violinist one of the world’s most beloved live performers.

The return to Herning follows the success of André Rieu’s previous performances in Denmark, where audiences have embraced his unique combination of classical elegance and spectacular entertainment. Known internationally as the “King of the Waltz,” Rieu has spent decades bringing orchestral music to millions of people, transforming traditional concerts into colourful celebrations filled with warmth, humour and emotion.

For the 2027 performance, André Rieu will be accompanied by his magnificent 70-piece Johann Strauss Orchestra, together with talented soloists and special guests. The programme promises a delightful mixture of romantic Viennese waltzes, beloved classical masterpieces, opera favourites, memorable film music and popular melodies. From intimate violin passages to powerful orchestral arrangements, every musical moment is designed to captivate the audience.

The concert will take place at Jyske Bank Boxen, one of Denmark’s leading indoor entertainment arenas. Located within the MCH complex in Herning, the venue regularly welcomes major international concerts, sporting events and large-scale productions. Its impressive size and modern facilities make it an ideal setting for André Rieu’s elaborate stage show, allowing thousands of music lovers to share the experience together.

André Rieu’s concerts are famous for their spectacular visual presentation as much as their music. Elegant costumes, beautiful stage scenery and carefully designed lighting create an atmosphere that feels both grand and welcoming. The maestro’s natural humour and warm interaction with the audience bring an additional personal touch, making even the largest arena feel surprisingly intimate.

The 11 June 2027 concert marks the beginning of a special two-night return to Denmark. Following the Friday performance in Herning, André Rieu and the Johann Strauss Orchestra will travel to Copenhagen for a concert at Royal Arena on Saturday, 12 June. These two performances offer Danish fans another opportunity to experience the orchestra’s new international touring production.

For visitors travelling from other parts of Denmark or neighbouring countries, Herning also offers an attractive destination for a musical weekend. Situated in the heart of Jutland, the city is known for its lively cultural scene, modern architecture and excellent connections to the surrounding region. Fans can combine the concert with a relaxing stay, exploring local restaurants, shops and attractions before heading to Jyske Bank Boxen for the evening performance.

What makes an André Rieu concert truly special, however, is the extraordinary connection between the orchestra and its audience. A gentle melody can bring a moment of quiet emotion, while the familiar rhythm of a Strauss waltz can suddenly have thousands of people smiling, clapping and swaying together. It is this ability to unite people through music that has made Rieu’s concerts a cherished experience across generations.

André Rieu remains one of the world’s most successful touring musicians, attracting more than 700,000 concertgoers annually. His international popularity continues to grow, with audiences drawn not only by the musical excellence of the Johann Strauss Orchestra but also by the happiness and optimism that define every performance.
